Bacon Ranch Dressing
Ingredients
- 1 cup half fat, non-fat or regular mayonnaise
- 1 small head of roasted garlic, mashed (see note)
- Juice of half a small lemon
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, very finely chopped
- 2 tbsp. fresh dill, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 4 slices thick cut bacon, crisply cooked, very finely chopped
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, place all the salad dressing ingredients.
- Use a whisk, a blender or food processor to thoroughly combine the ingredients.
- Place in an airtight container and chill well before serving.
Notes
To roast a head of garlic, cut about a ¼-inch off the top of the head to reveal the cloves inside.
Place the garlic head on a square of aluminum foil, sprinkle on a little salt and pepper, to taste; then drizzle with a teaspoon of olive oil.
Bring all sides of the aluminum foil together and twist to seal the garlic head inside.
Roast in a pre-heated 350°F oven for about 45 minutes.
Squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins and mash with a fork until a smooth paste forms.
