Bacon Ranch Dressing

Bacon Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup half fat, non-fat or regular mayonnaise
  • 1 small head of roasted garlic, mashed (see note)
  • Juice of half a small lemon
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, very finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 4 slices thick cut bacon, crisply cooked, very finely chopped

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, place all the salad dressing ingredients.
  • Use a whisk, a blender or food processor to thoroughly combine the ingredients.
  • Place in an airtight container and chill well before serving.

Notes

To roast a head of garlic, cut about a ¼-inch off the top of the head to reveal the cloves inside.
Place the garlic head on a square of aluminum foil, sprinkle on a little salt and pepper, to taste; then drizzle with a teaspoon of olive oil.
Bring all sides of the aluminum foil together and twist to seal the garlic head inside.
Roast in a pre-heated 350°F oven for about 45 minutes.
Squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins and mash with a fork until a smooth paste forms.
