Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings

Ingredients
  

  • 12 red onions, sliced
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 12 bacon slices, uncooked
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400°F.
  • Prepare a baking sheet with a little non-stick cooking spray or fit a baking rack inside.
  • Wrap each onion with one slice of bacon, careful to keep the overlapping to a minimum.
  • Place wrapped onion on baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle each onion with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 15 – 20 minutes and carefully turn onions.
  • Continue baking for another 15 – 25 minutes until bacon is browned and crispy.
  • Remove ftom the oven and allow to cool prior to serving.
