Easy Garlic Bread
Ingredients
- 1-pound French baquette, leftover buns or rolls
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. parsley or other dried herb
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. pepper
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 375℉.
- Using a sharp bread knife, cut the baguette open lengthwise; place cut sides of bread facing up on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper or non-stick aluminum foil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
- Spread the compound butter evenly across both sides of the baguette.
- Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and pre-heat the broiler to high.
- Sprinkle the Parmesean cheese on top of the bread.
- Place under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown and crispy; watch closely as broilers may cause the bread to burn.
- Remove from the oven and cut into smaller pieces for serving.
Notes
This recipe is the perfect way to use up leftover hamburger, hot dog or hoagie rolls accumulating in the cupboard.
