French Onion Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 bone in pork chops
- 2 packs French onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/2-pound mushrooms of choice, whole or sliced
- 1/2 cup red wine, or to taste
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 400 °F.
- Prepare two shallow pans/plates.
- In one, crack eggs and beat.
- In the other, mix together the breadcrumbs and soup mix.
- Coat the pork chops, first with the beaten eggs, then with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Take care to coat both sides.
- Place pork chops, mushrooms and red wine in a cast iron skillet and bake for 20 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes.
