French Onion Pork Chops

Ingredients
  

  • 4 bone in pork chops
  • 2 packs French onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2-pound mushrooms of choice, whole or sliced
  • 1/2 cup red wine, or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 °F.
  • Prepare two shallow pans/plates.
  • In one, crack eggs and beat.
  • In the other, mix together the breadcrumbs and soup mix.
  • Coat the pork chops, first with the beaten eggs, then with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Take care to coat both sides.
  • Place pork chops, mushrooms and red wine in a cast iron skillet and bake for 20 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes.
