Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

Ingredients
  

  • 1-pound ground sausage
  • 8-ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 10-ounce can Ro-Tel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies, drained
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 375°F.
  • Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, shredded cheddar cheese, biscuit baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper; mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 20 – 25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the sausage balls from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  • If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
  • Serve the Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls warm as a delicious appetizer or party snack.
