Pre-heat the oven to 200°F.
Carefully rinse and throughly dry the chicken.
On a dinner plate, or other flat dish, thoroughly combine the flour, garlic salt, paprika and ginger.
Coat all of the chicken pieces with the seasonings previously prepared.
Arrange chicken (skin side up If using thighs or breasts), in a single layer in baking pan; otherwise, simply place the drumsticks on the baking pan.
Place in the pre-heated oven and roast, uncovered, for 1 hour.
Remove from the oven; drain; do not turn off the oven.
Increase oven heat to 250°F.
In a pot, over a low heat, add remaining ingredients; mix to thoroughly combine.
Remove from the heat once the sugar has suitably been disolved.
Pour over baked chicken.
Return to pre-heated oven and bake for another 2 hours or until chicken is done and delicously glazed.
Basting and turning at least once will ensure an evenly coated glaze.
