Baked Chicken Stuffed Crescent Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 8-ounce can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup chicken, cooked and shredded
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- Ranch dressing, optional
- Salsa, optional
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, salt and pepper; stir until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up each crescent from the wide end to the tip and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with melted butter.
- Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 12 – 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm with a side of ranch or marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder to the chicken mixture.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce, to the chicken mixture (spicy version).
Use other types of cheese like mozzarella, Swiss or pepper jack (different flavors).
Add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or spinach (added nutrition).
