Pre-heat the oven to 375°F.
In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, salt and pepper; stir until well combined.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
Roll up each crescent from the wide end to the tip and place on a baking sheet.
Brush the tops with melted butter.
Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 12 - 15 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and serve warm with a side of ranch or marinara sauce for dipping.
