Cook linguine according to package directions; reserve ½ cup pasta of the water before draining set aside.
Season chicken strips with 1-½ tbsp. Cajun seasoning and 1 tsp. smoked paprika.
In a large skiller, over medium-high heat, sauté the chicken in the olive oil over cooked through; about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Remove the chicken; add garlic and remaining Cajun seasoning to the pan; cook 30 seconds.
Add the pasta water and heavy cream; bring to a simmer.
Add the Parmesan; stir until melted.
Return the chicken to the pan; add the pasta; and toss until well coated.
Serve garnished with additional Parmesan, if desired.
