Candy Cane Caprese Board

Ingredients
  

  • Fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Vine-ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • 3 tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Baguette slices, toasted

Instructions
 

  • On a serving board, place alternating slices of mozzarella and tomatoes to form a candy cane shape.
  • Drizzle good quality olive oil over the mozzarella and tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle the candy cane arrangement with sea salt.
  • Using the broiler feature in your oven, place the baguettes on a rimmed baking sheet and broil until golden brown; turn over and brown on other side; carefully watch as they will easily burn.
  • Remove from oven; cool and place on the candy cane board.
  • Place the basil on the board along with a small serving dish of balsamic vinegar.
