Pre-heat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9" x 5" loaf pan.
In a large bowl, add granulated sugar and butter; using an electric mixer, cream together until thoroughly combined.
Add eggs.
Add pumpkin and water; mix well to combine.
Add all the dry ingredients; mix to moisten.
Be careful to not over-beat.
Fold in the raisins.
Pour into the greased loaf pan.
Place in the pre-heated oven and bake 1 hour; when a toothpick comes out clean the bread is done.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pans for 15 minutes.
Then remove from the pans, place on a wire rack and allow to cool completely.
