Blueberry Biscuits

Ingredients
  

For the Biscuits:

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3-ounces fresh blueberries
  • 5 tbsp. butter

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • ⅛ cup water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ tsp. teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. honey

Instructions
 

To prepare the biscuits:

  • Place one stick of butter in freezer for one hour.
  • Pre-heat oven to 450°F.
  • In a large bowl, add salt, sugar, flour and baking powder; mix well to combine.
  • Add cold milk and blueberries to the dry ingredients; mix well to combine.
  • Remove the butter from your freezer and break 5 tablespoons into chunks.
  • Spread the frozen butter chunks evenly over the biscuit dough.
  • Fold the blueberry biscuit dough and knead.
  • Repeat until all the frozen butter chunks are spread evenly throughout the dough.
  • Place dough on a floured surface and roll to about 1/4 to 1/8-inche thickness.
  • Using a biscuit cutter, cut approximately 6 biscuits from the dough.
  • Place in oven and bake for approximately 7 to 12 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack.

To prepare the glaze:

  • In a small bowl, mix together all ingredients; stir well to combine.
  • Drizzle glaze over the biscuits.
