Candied Mint Leaves Palate Cleanser

Ingredients
  

  • 12 large mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • Clean the large mint leaves.
  • Coat leaves with sugar and gently shake to remove excess sugar.
  • Place on a baking sheet and allow to dry, uncovered, for 24 hours or more.
  • Once completely dry, store in an air tight container and refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Can be stored, in a refrigerator, for 3 – 4 weeks. 
Use as a garnish on lime or orange sherbet palate cleansers; serve a small portion in cordial glasses or for dessert in martini glasses; in cocktails (especially, mint juleps) and on desserts.

I have made these for many years and do when mint can be found fresh or a friend is growing it. Try this you will not be disappointed . Thank you for posting it
