Cheesy Meatball Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 16-ounce package rotini pasta, uncooked
- 25 ounces marinara sauce
- 3 cups water
- 14 ounces fully cooked mini-meatballs, thawed
- Fresh herbs (basil, oregano or parsley), chopped, for garnish
- 2 cups cheddar or Italian blend cheese, shredded
- Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 425°F.
- In a large baking dish, mix together the uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, water, meatballs and herbs.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir the casserole contents; sprinkle top with cheeses.
- Return to the oven, uncovered; bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and pasta is tender.
