Cheesy Meatball Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 1 16-ounce package rotini pasta, uncooked
  • 25 ounces marinara sauce
  • 3 cups water
  • 14 ounces fully cooked mini-meatballs, thawed
  • Fresh herbs (basil, oregano or parsley), chopped, for garnish
  • 2 cups cheddar or Italian blend cheese, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese, optional

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 425°F.
  • In a large baking dish, mix together the uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, water, meatballs and herbs.
  • Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and stir the casserole contents; sprinkle top with cheeses.
  • Return to the oven, uncovered; bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and pasta is tender.
