Copycat Buena Vista Irish Coffee for One
This recipe makes only one cup of Buena Vista Irish Coffee; however, the recipe can be easily adjusted to accommodate the number of coffee cups you wish to serve.
Ingredients
- 2 sugar cubes
- 4 to 6 ounces brewed coffee
- 1-⅓ ounces Irish whiskey (Tullamore D.E.W. recommended)
- Heavy cream, lightly whipped
Instructions
- Preheat a 6-ounce heat-proof glass by filling it with hot water; once warm, discard the water.
- Add two sugar cubes to the glass; add brewed coffee until the glass is 3/4 full; stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add 1-⅓ ounces of whiskey to the coffee; stir gently and briefly to combine.
- In a separate bowl, use a milk frother foamer to whip the cream until it is very frothy; pour over coffee; if a milk frother foamer is not available, pour the whipped cream gently over the back of a spoon onto the top of the coffee.
