French Toast Dippers

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices soft white bread
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • Maple Syrup, for dunking

Instructions
 

  • Slice crusts off bread and roll flat with a rolling pin.
  • In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 3 eggs, 1/3 cup milk, and nutmeg.
  • Slather cinnamon mixture on bread and roll up tightly.
  • Dunk roll-ups in egg mixture.
  • In a nonstick skillet, over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add roll-ups and cook until golden, about 2 minutes per side.
  • Dip in maple syrup.
