Takeout-Style Sesame Noodles

Ingredients
  

For the Noodles:

  • 8 ounces medium egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. tahini
  • 2 tbsp. smooth peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp. premium dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed or garlic puree
  • ½ tbsp. ginger puree
  • 1 tbsp. Sriracha sauce

For the Garnish:

  • 2 spring onions, chopped (see note)
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • Slices of red chili
  • Roasted peanuts, chopped, optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients, excluding noodles.
  • Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package.
  • Add the drained noodles, to a wok, and mix in the contents of the bowl; ensure the noodles are fully covered.
  • Serve up garnished with slices of spring onions, chili and sesame seeds.
  • Optionally, add some chopped roasted peanuts as further garnish, if you like.

Notes

Substitutes for spring onions:  shallots, red onions, or green onions.
