Drain corn and discard liquid.
Put eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl and beat.
Add flour and baking powder, whisk until smooth.
Add corn and cheese; stir well until blended.
In a saucepan, over medium heat, place butter and oil and heat until bubbly.
Drop corn mixture, in spoonful lots, into saucepan.
When golden, turn and cook other side.
When both sides browned, remove from saucepan and drain on absorbent paper and serve.
