Onion Beef Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients
3 cups cooked rice, preferably day-old and cold
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup mixed vegetables
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok, orer medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef and sauté until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and sauté for a few minutes until tender-crisp.
Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef and vegetables.
Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauceand sesame oil; stir well to coat the rice evenly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot: Garnish with green onions or cilantro, if desired.
Notes
Using cold, day-old rice keeps the rice from clumping and helps the end product to fry up nicely.
