In a large skillet, on medium-high heat, brown sausage until cooked; drain; set aside.
In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil; add all the seasonings and butter; stir until completely combined.
Add the meat and rice; return to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
Fluff with fork and sprinkle with a dash of paprika before serving.
