Takeout-Style Sesame Noodles
Ingredients
For the Noodles:
- 8 ounces medium egg noodles
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. tahini
- 2 tbsp. smooth peanut butter
- 1 tbsp. premium dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, crushed or garlic puree
- ½ tbsp. ginger puree
- 1 tbsp. Sriracha sauce
For the Garnish:
- 2 spring onions, chopped (see note)
- 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
- Slices of red chili
- Roasted peanuts, chopped, optional
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients, excluding noodles.
- Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package.
- Add the drained noodles, to a wok, and mix in the contents of the bowl; ensure the noodles are fully covered.
- Serve up garnished with slices of spring onions, chili and sesame seeds.
- Optionally, add some chopped roasted peanuts as further garnish, if you like.
Notes
Substitutes for spring onions: shallots, red onions, or green onions.
