How to Roast Cashews

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cashews
  • 1 tsp. butter or refined coconut oil
  • ¼ tsp. salt

Instructions
 

Stovetop Method:

  • Using a medium skillet, over medium heat, melt the butter or coconut oil.
  • Add the nuts and salt to melted butter.
  • Roast the cashews until fragrant and brown; about 3 – 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove cashews from the skillet; allow to cool and use as desired.

Oven Method:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350°F.
  • Melt the butter or coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl big enough for the cashews.
  • Once melted, add cashews to melted butter or coconut oil; add salt and toss until well coated.
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for super easy clean-up.
  • In a single layer, place cashews on the baking sheet and place on the middle rack.
  • Place in the pre-heated oven and roast for10 to 15 minutes; stirring occasionally.
  • Once golden brown, remove and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before using.
