Hoyt’s Favorite Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
  • 3 eggs
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup margarine, melted
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1-½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 375°F.  
  • In a medium bowl, using hand beater, beat eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, margarine and corn syrup.
  • Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Pour mixture into pie shell.
  • Place in the pre-heated oven and bake until set; approximately 40 to 50 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven; allow to completely cool; cover with aluminum foil; place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • Remove from refrigerator approximately one hour prior to serving.
