Pumpkin Apple Butter
Ingredients
- 2 apples, peeled and steamed
- 1/4 cup pumpkin pie filling
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 ½ tsp. lemon juice
Instructions
- Core, peel, and dice apples.
- In a double boiler, or metal steamer in a saucepan, steam them for 8 – 10 minutes or until soft.
- Using a blender, add all of the ingredients and pulse until desired consistency.
- Place in a canning jar or airtight container.
- Store in the refrigerator.
- Use within 10 – 14 days
Notes
If your butter is too thin, add a small amount, ½ – 1 teaspoon, corn starch to thicken.
