Pumpkin Apple Butter

Ingredients
  

  • 2 apples, peeled and steamed
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin pie filling
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 ½ tsp. lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Core, peel, and dice apples.
  • In a double boiler, or metal steamer in a saucepan, steam them for 8 – 10 minutes or until soft.
  • Using a blender, add all of the ingredients and pulse until desired consistency.
  • Place in a canning jar or airtight container.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
  • Use within 10 – 14 days

Notes

If your butter is too thin, add a small amount, ½ – 1 teaspoon, corn starch to thicken.
