Hoyt’s Favorite Chocolate Pecan Pie
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
- 3 eggs
- ⅔ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup margarine, melted
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1-½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, using hand beater, beat eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, margarine and corn syrup.
- Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour mixture into pie shell.
- Place in the pre-heated oven and bake until set; approximately 40 to 50 minutes.
- Remove from the oven; allow to completely cool; cover with aluminum foil; place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Remove from refrigerator approximately one hour prior to serving.
