Nan Laing’s Cobbler

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 21-ounce can pie filling, fruit of choice, use juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Vanilla ice cream, optional

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 350° F.
  • Use butter stick to grease pan; cut up remainder of stick and spread around the bottom of the baking dish. 
  • Pour in the fruit.
  • In a small bowl, add remaining ingredients; mix well.
  • Spread over fruit. 
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until top is a golden brown.
  • Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
